It’s a hell of a car (6 hours total round trip), but hanging out with the elephants is fun. The monitor is very nice and we can interact a lot with the elephants (always with respect). As for the driver, very professional and friendly. Recommended if you have time to spare in Bangkok.

It was a nice experience. But the traffic jams ruined a lot. We spent a lot of time at the van waiting to get back to the city.
The experience with the 11 elephants
On site is quite unique and worthwhile.
We were joking though, that we paid to do some labour as we cut down banana trees, prepare elephant food, and bathed them!
I thought it was funny and this could be easily be marketed as a “day in the life of an elephant caretaker” activity.

The tour was great, the best in my Thailand vacation. The meeting point is opposite a cafe (The Coffee Club) at a travel agency: Big Country Experience. There I met my guide Sakka, we had a short toilet break on the way and stopped at a well-known bridge (no sales tour!) and then drove to Elephantsworld. There we were able to take a photo with a free elephant right at the beginning, feed elephants, prepare and feed medicine, rub mud on elephants and later wash them clean in the river. The elephants seemed happy 🙂 at the end you got a free meal. Cola and Co. for 20 baht – so everything was great! The guides and animal keepers also took photos and videos with my cell phone for me or other participants at no cost, great
