In reading the history of Malaysia, the city of Melaka came up multiple times. Given the city’s importance in Malaysian history as a trade port and the capital of the Melaka Sultanate, I had to see it while I was visiting!
My tour guide, Mr. Avali, was humorous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about Melaka and Malaysia as a whole.
The city itself isn’t that big, so a day trip is more than enough time to see all the main sites, and Mr. Avali will make sure you see them!
Overall, expect to be gone for most of the day, but trust me, it’s worth it! 5/5 stars, definitely a must do if you have a week or more in Malaysia and are a history buff like myself!

McPally, our tour guide, was exceptional! The tour was interesting. We enjoyed our local lunch. The bus was comfortable. Highly recommended!

We were in Malaka for 2 days(unplanned) before the tour day, so we joined the tour when they arrived… Melaka is a very nice touristy town, with lots of little nooks to eat and explore… day and night. You can walk to most places. The tour was nice as it highlighted key areas and filled in the rich historical information behind Malaka’s origin. Our guide Lucas, was brilliant. The lunch was great too. Between three tours we did in Malaysia, this one was the best.

Makpal, our guide, was brilliant. Informative, patient, funny and helpful. He ensured we all had a great day.

Visiting a UNESCO site was surreal. Beautiful city with lots of history. Our tour guide Amar S. made it more memorable by relating the history was very informative. Will definitely recommend to family and friends for their visits with this tour company. Awesome job.

Nadia was an excellent tour guide. Her knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality were the perfect combination. Nadia truly cared that the guests on the tour were enjoying themselves. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in history and exploring new areas.

Our tour guide Nadya was absolutely amazing, combining deep knowledge of Malaysian history with wonderful organisational skills. I wish we could have her as our tour guide for the rest of our stay in Kuala Lumpur. Vlad and Alex.

The tour was perfect! Clean bus , good driver and safe! Mr Stephen our guide was very knowledgeable and took care of the group . Highly recommended!

I had a great day with Nadia. First, it is difficult to get tours in Kuala Lumpur when you are solo. Not with this one. It didn’t charge me double which I appreciate. The pick up was seamless and the bus trip down to Melaka was pleasant apart from the AC being too cold or too hot. The time at each site was good. Nadia was efficient when it came to keeping the passengers on time. Great information was given about the history and culture of Malaysia and Melaka. A great day!

Although the weather was not with us (raining the whole day), the trip was worth it. It was well-organized and interesting. The tour guide (Nadia) was strict on time, which I particularly liked. There was enough free time as well as enough / not too much time on the different places where we stopped.

A worthwhile interesting tour to learn something about the Malacca past with its western colonial history that created it’s present cultural diversity. The tour guide did a very good job in providing the city setting and it’s historical backgrounds.

This tour was quite insightful . Special thanks to our drivers for the safe comfortable and enjoyable trip. Our guide Johnson gave us good overview about history of Malaka but would definitely recommend to stay there at least one night because we went there during holiday and all museums were closed. Also we couldn’t see sunset and beautiful night of the city.

The day tour to Melaka was very good. Lunch was great. Sceneries were fantastic. Learning Melaka’s histories during Portuguese colonization followed by Dutch and British were very informative. Jonson the tour guide was fantastic. Really informative with a lot of great information to share.
Recommend this Tour 100% percent.

The guide was very informative and helpful
It was a pity that because the trip was on a Monday and a lot of things were closed

Our Guide – Johnson – was a great entertainer, very knowledgeable and professional. Top driver as well. One thing to improve could be the lunch service. Food was ok, but a bit in a rush. Probably is the local standard though.

Sarah_H –
This tour was fine. Having transportation was nice but the guide couldn’t really answer questions outside of the stories he already had planned to tell us. You do get free time which is good for shopping. Lunch was mediocre and it was awkward that they split up the solo travelers on purpose. If you can, I would take a day trip on your own and book a separate walking tour.
Mike_D –
Great guide keeps things moving and provides narrative. It’s 2-3 hours to Malaka so much of the 9 hour day is driving. At Malaka you walk with the guide for awhile then on your own after lunch. We had a small group – only about 13. More time in Malaka would be useful but would make for a long day.
John_N –
Johnson the guide was excellent and everything ran like clockwork. A really good day out! We saw everything we wanted!
