The ticket price includes the Sky Lift so it is worthwhile. The Zoo was renovating many areas but we still had an enjoyable afternoon.
Sharon_K –
I loved the whole experience, one of my favourite places to visit in Sydney. My granddaughters first time visiting the zoo, their excitement and joy was lovely to watch
Ingrid_H –
Beautiful weather and beautiful view.
The zoo was very nice and clean. And there are lot of animals.
The cable Sky Safari was cool
Gujing_S –
We had great time with kids. The seal show is very impressive. The view with giraffe and opera house at back is memorable.
Lorraine_S –
A fun, easy day to spend in a group. I would highly recommend to come here if you have a while in Sydney and weather is good.
Luke_G –
Watching family members see the unique animals was spectacular. Trip of a lifetime so enjoyable. The family time was invaluable and extremely memorable
Ruth_H –
The employees were very friendly and helpful. We had our luggage with us. They provided storage and assistance getting it to the ferry. Great job.
June_T –
Great exhibits featuring Kangaroos and Koalas. Bird show was excellent. Ferry ride overhead great views of the front of the Opera House & bridge.
Rita_F –
Oh my gosh, we had a great visit, and the koala bear exhibit and experience was the best. The seal show was fantastic so don’t miss any of the shows we spent five hours and loved every minute.
William_B –
Significant parts of the zoo are closed either due to renovations or COVID. The tram from the ferry terminal was closed. The lion exhibit was closed. The elephant exhibit is being worked. The penguin exhibit was open but there were no penguins in any of the display areas. Most of the food venues were closed.

Thanks to the team at the Koala encounter for fitting us in as we missed our time slot, more on that later. Koala encounter was great with time to be up close and take photos and talk to a keeper. All the animals we saw were well cared for and you can tell that from their appearance and movement. We missed our time slot for the Koalas due to late ferry and bus. It’s a shame the zoo don’t provide free transport whilst the sky safari is closed. Good views back to the city, and the seal show was fun too. Recommended day out, but plan ahead for transport.
Michael_L –
The whole place is fantastic. Loved the openness. Wide pathways were great. Wasn’t crowded during the day Thursday. Elephant’s and Giraffes were my favorite….but the white checked Gibbon was super entertaining!
Paul_C –
Weak showing for this zoo
Only 2 kangaroos were there both laying down like they were dead.
No lions
No dingos
Horrible experience
This zoo is a ripoff
Linda_A –
View from the zoo looking towards Sydney. Unfortunately it poured rain the morning we visited and many of the animals were not on display or sheltered ( certainly curious about the silly humans standing in the pouring rain staring at them! Lol)
ZitaPuiKa_L –
Its really convenient to use, simply show your QR code tickets in the main entrance without queueing.
Donna_H –
Lovely zoo but hard to walk for older people as it is very steep and hilly in parts.
Try to visit on a weekday instead of a weekend for a more peaceful time.
It was helpful to have a prepaid ticket through Viator to the zoo.
ReeseM_W –
Great zoo visit, loved the koala and chimpanzees exhibits the most! Their recommendation of using the zoo app which made a world of difference in how to organize my zoo day!
Alhad_T –
It would have been good if the sites can inform which all animals are not availabble in the zoo.. hence it was not 100% good
Bernadette_H –
I felt I connected with the beautiful seal, such a sweet tender animal that looks into your soul. Would like to see him/her in a much larger pool though.
Kulwant_P –
Seal show and bird show. Tigers were good to watch.
Heaps of closed areas. If winter is an issue for safety of animals then either the zoo should be closed temporarily or reduce the ticket.
