We were on time with our flight arrival thankfully. Our driver was where he was supposed to be with my name and he was VERY helpful with our bags. We needed to stop at an ATM and he led us to a couple. He had a big trunk to handle our 3 suitcases as well as our carry ons. He chatted most all the way to the hotel informing us of how to stay safe in Cape Town among other things. I wish he could drive for us all the time.

Pick up never appeared. Our flight from Skukuza to Cape Town was delayed due to late inbound aircraft (weather over Johannesburg, which delayed all flights to and from that airport). I let the Tour Operator know IMMEDIATELY of the delay. I sent a follow up to them about the estimate for take off once the inbound plane arrived to Skukuza. The Tour Operator acknowledged my updates and assured me they were monitoring the flights. Imagine my surprise when my wife and I landed in Cape Town two hours delayed and there was NO DRIVER to meet us. I did get a voicemail from the driver asking if we were on the flight (remember, I informed the Tour Operator when we took off). I called that number back and got NO RESPONSE. I left a voicemail, then called the Tour Operator. He claimed that AirLink (the National Airline of South Africa) posted an “indefinite delay” so the driver bailed. Remember, I INFORMED THE TOUR OPERATOR IN REAL TIME OF OUR STATUS. The Tour Operator promised to call me back after he reached the driver. Ten minutes later, I called the Tour Operator since I hadn’t heard back. He claimed to be on with the driver and was still awaiting an estimate for the driver to come back to the airport. In the meantime, Uber promised me a ride in less than 2 minutes – guess which I ended up using? While I did get a refund from the Tour Operator, the fact that they bailed on me despite constant updates from me about a flight delay (and the fact they could have checked with the airline or even with FlightAware) was simply unacceptable customer service. Do not use this service – you’re better off with Uber!

My airport pickup was extremely convenient. My flight was an hour early and my driver had tracked the flight so he was there when I arrived. He helped me find an ATM, and gave me lots of advice about places to visit and the neighborhood I was staying in. As a solo female traveler after a long flight I would 100% do this again.

He helped with our luggage and we had a nice drive to our hotel by the V&A Waterfront. Very knowledgeable about the city and local tips for sightseeing. Helped unload our luggage at the hotel. Well worth it and the cost was very reasonable.
