We had a great day with Liz, who is a blue badge guide, and she answered all our questions. Weather was outstanding, which helped tremendously with seeing the sites and boat trip. Liz is an expert historian. As you can see from the photo, we had a great vantage point for the changing of the guard exit and beat the crowds, but not the actual music and ceremony at the Palace. My only wish was that we could have gotten just a bit closer to Buckingham Palace and the gate. See Palace pic. That’s as close as we got. If you want to see both the Abbey and Tower in one day, this is a great tour.

This was a very good tour. You get to see a lot in a short amount of time. The tour guide was very friendly and basically knew everything and could answer any questions. It’s a long day and a lot of walking so be prepared for that, but well worth it!

What can I say about why this tour was a failure? Was it the weather? Was it the time of year? Why do I feel I should have just visited the sites on my own? First, this is a long tour with a lot of walking. We expected that and were ready with our walking shoes. However, sprinting miles from one attraction to the next is not enjoyable. This tour operator was totally unprepared and out of practice. The tour guide (Suzanne) did not have tickets for Westminster Abbey so we had to wait until it was sorted out. That put us 30 minutes behind schedule. To make up the time, we then completed a 60-minute jog around Buckingham Palace where many guests struggled to keep up with the pace. Finally arriving at the Tower of London, rather than wait in line to see the Crown Jewels and provide us with a history of the Tower while waiting, Suzanne elected to have us all stand in the rain in front of a plot of grass hoping the line would shorten. Wet, cold, tired and frustrated, we returned our headsets to Suzanne and proceeded to see interior of the Tower on our own. Ironically, we were able to see more of the Tower on own self-guided tour than with the tour guide. While there were many regrettable parts to this all day tour, my biggest regret is not leaving the tour sooner. There are a lot of options for similar tours of London – choose another one.

We missed the changing of the Guard … which was very disappointing! We should’ve have left other areas sooner to get there on time. The rest of the tour was very nice & our tour guide gave us an Excellent spot to have Lunch!

Both Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London were not what we had imagined. So glad we visited them. The guide was wonderful. We loved the boat ride on the Thames. Great tour.

The guide was wonderful, unfortunately her name escapes me. She had a lot of great information and very pleasant to talk to. The tour itself was very rushed and fast paced. We missed the changing of the guards and since seeing the royal jewels was to be viewed at the end the guide gave the group a choice to stay and wait for what was going to be about 2 hours or just call it a day. The guide did leave at that point so we as well as most participants did also. The tour operator might consider changing this itinerary up a bit because quite honestly, we didn’t get what we paid and hoped for. The group shouldn’t feel so rush to the point of people basically running between points of interest. Also, a note to be very cautious of your belongings. Alot of theft happens in these areas that are being toured. I was one of the unlucky ones to have my wallet stolen when we left Westminster Abbey. I don’t necessarily blame anyone from the tour company for my own misfortune although if the group wasn’t so spread out and one wasn’t worried about getting left behind because the voice of the guide was starting to fade on our earbud one could have been more aware of the surrounding instead of a fear of being lost in a town you have never been to before.

Our tour guide Matt was absolutely amazing. Not only did he give us excellent details about all of the places we went, but he also was able to answer questions from the group that were at times really specific. Matt was fun and energetic. Wish I could always have a tour guide like him!

Be prepared to do a lot of walking! I think we checked off all the best of London to see in a day. Vicki was very informative and had sense of humor. Very approachable with questions and answered with a smile on her face. She kept a good pace and gave us ample time to explore on our own. I always appreciate the use of audio headsets because it can get difficult to hear the guide when you’re in a group. One thing I did not like was I had asked Vicki if we were going to a bathroom soon, and she said 10 minutes (after Thames river cruise). That 10 minutes turned out to be 2 hours later. Boy, did I really need to go…and you know restrooms are hard to come by in UK and rest of Europe. It’s great that she did alot of walking and talking, but recommend she check in with the guests and see if they have any needs, especially restroom needs. Other than that, highly recommend this tour!

Our family very much enjoyed our day walking tour with Nigel. The meet up point was clear and easy. Nigel shared a wealth of information. There was a lot of walking as expected but sites of interest were easily accessible.. Nigel organized our day to maximize the number of sites we could see. We quickly entered Westminster Anbey and the Tower of London with very little wait. We were able to watch the changing of the horse guard, and saw a portion of the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Our group was 20 in size which was quite manageable.
