My husband and I had a wonderful day with Gareth and our fellow travelers. He did a wonderful job
of picking us all up in the morning,
despite all of the road closures due to King Charles’ visit to Cardiff. We had ample time at each of the stops to explore on our own and really appreciated the history and background information Gareth gave us on the way to each location. My husband and I highly recommend him both as an excellent guide and driver.

This tour provides efficient transportation to the various sites. In our case we saw three castles and an Abbey. However, I felt that the background information offered, from an historical perspective, was minimal. Perhaps the guy that was tired on the day of our trip. He just did not seem that enthusiastic.

Garret was very professional, very knowledgeable of Walles history. We had a great time. 8 people perfect amount.

Gareth was fun and knowledgeable about the tour. He gave us time to stay in each place long enough to not feel hurried.

Our guide, Gareth, made the trip. His knowledge of local history made our drive more enjoyable. He offered suggestions at each location for dining and any other activities to do. I would highly recommend this tour. On a side note, if you are staying in Cardiff he may well pick you up at your flat or hotel rather then meeting at the Hilton.

Tour of the castles. It brought to our minds ancient history as we moved from castle to castle. Also visited Cardiff Bay.

The whole trip was memorable it was snowing and the countryside was beautiful, we had a knowledgeable driver who was able to explain the history of where we were. From the day we booked were kept informed and the driver was flexible he fitted in with us

We went to beautiful places and Gareth knows a lot about Wales and its history, I loved discussing with him. We were a small group so it was calm and we were able to talk to each other.

This is the ideal way to do a short trip to Wales! We saw so much in one day with the Wandering Bard Tour, yet it didn’t feel rushed at all. The tour was very well organised and Gareth gave excellent suggestions of what to see at each stop. In the journey between stops Gareth gave so much invaluable knowledge of the history of the area, and local insider knowledge — he really knows his stuff and is very passionate about it! Will be recommending the tour to all of our friends!

My wife and I had a wonderful day riding and talking with Gareth as he transported us to Tinturn Abbey, Chepstow and Caerphilly Castles and stopping by Castell Coch. He gave us ample time to tour the sites or towns if we wanted to. If you don’t have a car he is an awesome way to get there!

Every route stated clearly in the introduction, local guide with well experience which offer wise suggestions to guests. Adequate time for us to explore around. Perfect size of the Group.

This was different than the other tours I did on this trip. I knew nothing about Wales and had been traveling for three weeks, so really enjoyed the clean smaller vehicle, limited # of people, and unscripted approach that Gareth took. It didn’t feel commercial at all, we were encouraged to take a walk along the river, which was beautiful and one of the most authentic experiences I had, plus the abbey and both castles were stunning. The area in May was prettier than the Cotswolds, in my opinion. Wales is definitely worth a second look!

Gareth was a great tour guide. Very personable, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He even gave us a background into the Welsh language and explained some of the words and syntax. We never felt rushed, and he was very good at recommending places to eat and drink. Highly recommend!

Gareth was a great host to take us to a few smaller quaint towns in south Wales and showed us a historical Abbey and a couple castles. Comfortable ride and everything went on time.
